Category B Driving License

Do you wish to become a confident driver and get a category B driving license? We will guide you through the process from your first till the successful exam and obtaining the driving license.

What is category B? 

A Category B driving license allows you to drive personal vehicles of a maximum weight of 3.5 tons and a maximum of 8 passengers aside from the driver. 

Requirements

  •  Age - Min. 18 years (or 17 years for young drivers with a mentor) 
  •  Medical check-up - an examination by a general practitioner 
  •  You have no driving restriction. You have not been banned from driving either in the Czech Republic or in the EU 

 How does it work? 

  1. Enrollment in driving school – we will agree on the starting date of the lessons. 
  2. Theory lessons – we will teach you everything about traffic rules. 
  3. Practical training – you will gain driving experience under the supervision of our instructors. 
  4. Exams – you will take a theoretical and practical test. 
  5. After passing the exam, you submit an application to any Driving License Issuing Office in the Czech Republic. This step is not offered directly by the school, but we can arrange external services.
  6. Picking up your driving license card from the relevant office.

Exchange of a Foreign Driving Licence

Do you have a driving licence issued abroad and want to exchange it for a Czech one? We will help you navigate the requirements and take care of everything necessary – simply, quickly, and without unnecessary stress. 

When is the exchange possible:  

  • if you have permanent, temporary, or long-term residence in the Czech Republic 
  •  you hold a valid driving licence issued abroad 
  •  you are not banned from driving either in the Czech Republic or in the EU 

 Procedure: 

  1. We will verify whether your foreign driving licence can be recognised – otherwise, a driving school retest is required (especially for non-European licences) 
  2. If necessary, we will arrange a professional competence retest – this includes a traffic rules theory test and a driving test 
  3. We will help you with the required documents

Reinstatement of Driving Licence

How does it work?

Has your driving licence been revoked and you want to get it back? In our driving school, we will help you with its reinstatement step by step. Here's an overview of the whole process: 

1. Contact us 

Call or write to us – we will explain exactly what you will need. 

2. Obtain a driver card record 

 Before you start, you need a current extract from your driver card containing information about the duration of the driving ban. 

3. Traffic-psychological examination and medical check-up 

In most cases, it is necessary to undergo a traffic-psychological examination and obtain a doctor's certificate confirming your medical fitness to drive motor vehicles. 

4. Driving competence test 

 After the driving ban has expired, you must take the driving school test again – a theory test on traffic regulations and a driving test. We will prepare you for everything you need. 

 5. Submit an application for the reinstatement of your driving licence 

 After successfully passing the test, you can apply to the relevant authority for the return of your driving licence.
